This DEEPLY underrated gem was but one entry in a miracle year of American films, 1985 (which also happens to be the year of my birth!).

Other legendary pictures released in ‘85: The Goonies, The Breakfast Club, Cocoon, Rocky IV, Witness, Pee Wee Herman’s Big Adventure, The Color Purple, Commando, Back to the F***ing Future, and more! There were wonderful international releases too, like Terry Gilliam’s Brazil and 乱 (Ran) by Akira Kurosawa.

Should I make a poster for every SINGLE great film of 1985? Should keep me busy.
